Welcome to Berean Bible Church
BBC is a non-denominational, Bible-teaching church located in New Delhi, India. Our church is named after the "more noble" saints that were found in the city of "Berea” - in the hope that we would be as they were:
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed…” (Acts 17:10-12)
By God's grace, BBC is committed to pursue the biblical pattern of the New Covenant churches, which began with the first coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Therefore, we believe the New Testament scriptures clearly teach that the Lord's churches are to be more like a little flock (Luke 12:32; 1 Peter 5:2), a body with identifiable members (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 27), or a close-knit family (1 Timothy 3:5; Galatians 6:10). This is contrary to today's popular church model of a business or corporation that is only interested in monetary profit and how many people are in attendance as a measure of their success.
Our main priority, as a church of Jesus Christ is to encourage the members of our church in the faith by the teaching and preaching of “the word of God” in plain and open clarity without any compromise. Jesus commanded His church to make disciples by baptizing and by "teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:20). Our hope for every member of our church is that they would be ready and prepared to stand approved as an overcomer before the Judgment Seat of Christ when Jesus appears a second time, and hear these words from Him:
“...Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
Our hope is that all the members of our church would be counted worthy to enter into the kingdom of God when it appears on the earth at the second coming of Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 1:5; Acts 14:22).
We also make it our priority to obey Jesus Christ's commission to His church, to preach the gospel of the kingdom to all those outside the church in the non-Christian world:
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16)
