OUR CHARACTER IS LIKE CLOTHING
Job 29:14 I put on righteousness (a character quality), and it clothed me: my judgment (or my decisions in life) was as a robe and a diadem.
Adorning our character
1 Peter 3:3-4 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart (inward disposition or temperment), in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
PRIDE COVERS AS A GRAMENT
Psalm 73:6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
CLOTHED WITH HUMILITY

you have to buy your clothes
Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and thatthe shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

To be found naked shall cost you
Matthew 22:2,11-13 The kingdom of heaven is like unto…And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment (without righteous acts):12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness (suffer loss of the kingdom of heaven, a life of ruling with Christ, for 1,000 years); there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (deep sorrow, regret, and shame).
