PRAISE TO GOD IS A LIFESTYLE
Psalms 146:1-2 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. 2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
IT IS A COMMAND
Psalms 117:1-2 O praise [imperative] the LORD, all ye nations: praise him [imperative] , all ye people. 2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD [imperative].
GOD INHABITS THE PRAISES
Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
IT IS GOOD, PLEASANT AND COMELY
Psalms 147:1 Praise [Imperative] ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
IT IS PLEASING TO GOD
Psalms 69:30-31 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
PRAISE IS ASCRIBING WORTH TO GOD
Psalms 18:3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
GOD IS THE KING
Psalms 47:6-7 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
THE LORD IS GREAT
Psalms 145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
THE LORD IS GOOD, MERCIFUL AND FAITHFUL
Psalms 100:4-5 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
PRAISE GIVES GOD HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE
Psalms 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
ALL CREATION OWE HIM PRAISE
Psalms 148:1-14 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl 11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. 14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
WE WERE CREATED FOR THIS PURPOSE
Psalms 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
CHOSEN TO SHOW FORTH HIS PRAISES
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
PRAISE HIM IN THE CONGREGATION OF SAINTS
Psalms 149:1,5 Praise ye the LORD. Sing [imperative] unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
OUR LORD'S EXAMPLE AND EXHORTATION
Psalms 22:22-23 I [Jesus] will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. 23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
PRAISE HIM INWARDLY
Psalms 119:7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
PRAISE IS EXTROVERT
Psalms 66:8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

MAKING JOYFUL NOISE
Psalms 98:4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Psalms 145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

Psalms 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

PRAISE IS NOT ABOUT HOW WE FEEL
Psalms 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
OFFER THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE
Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
PRAISE HIM IN AFFLICTIONS
