Christians can go astray!

Christians can stop obeying the truth!

Doctrinal error overthrows faith
2 Timothy 2:17–18 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.
Sinful lusts affects our ears!
2 Timothy 4:3–4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Fables turn from the truth
Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
A Christian SINNER!
James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the SINNER from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Sinners need repentance!
Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Sinners need to humble themselves!
James 4:8–10 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, YOU SINNERS; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 HUMBLE YOURSELVES in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
A sinner needs to turn back from the error of way

Turning saves!

Save a soul?

No soul is immortal

Immortality has been revealed in the gospel message
2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Seek for immortality!
Romans 2:6–7 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing SEEK FOR glory and honour and IMMORTALITY, eternal life:
We put on immortality only at the future resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:42–43 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
Christ alone has immortality
1 Timothy 6:14–16 to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, 15 which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 WHO ALONE HAS IMMORTALITY, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
A soul is a living person
James 5:20 (NIV) ″...Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save HIM from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
James 5:20 (NLT) ″...whoever brings the sinner back will save that PERSON from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.
Souls need salvation!
James 1:21 (NKJV) Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able TO SAVE YOUR SOULS.
James 1:21 (NIV) Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, WHICH CAN SAVE YOU.
Souls were baptized!
Acts 2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand SOULS were added to them.

Noah's family = eight saved souls

Salvation from death

Sin always leads to death
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The son died in the far country
Luke 15:24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.
Christian widows are dead while living in sinful pleasure
1 Timothy 5:6 But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.
The second death is for sinners!
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is THE SECOND DEATH.”
All rebells shall die
Proverbs 19:16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; But he that despiseth his ways shall die.
God is able to save and to destroy!
James 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able TO SAVE and TO DESTROY: who art thou that judgest another?
Disobedient souls shall be destroyed
Acts 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that EVERY SOUL, which will not hear that prophet, SHALL BE DESTROYED from among the people.
Acts 3:23 (NET) EVERY PERSON who does not obey that prophet WILL BE DESTROYED and thus removed from the people.’
God's people can be destroyed!
Jude 5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having SAVED the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward DESTROYED those who did not believe.
James sounds like the prophet Ezekiel
Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’
Forgiveness of sins = salvation from death
James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and SHALL HIDE A MULTITUDE OF SINS.

NCV will cause many sins to be forgiven.
Covering of sins implies forgiveness!
