James 1:14–15
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
 
Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have CRUCIFIED the flesh with the affections and lusts.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

10 And after you have SUFFERED for a little while [resisting the devil and his temptations], the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
