The fear of the Lord is by faith
Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 
 
A holy life through the fear of the Lord
2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
 
A fear that is not from God
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
 
Israel feared the giants
Numbers 13:30-33 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we." 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 "There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."
 
Their fear was sourced in unbelief
Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief
 
Fear is not believing
Acts 9:26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
Mark 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
 
Fear defined:
Fear is an uneasiness of the mind, upon the thought of future evil likely to befall us.
An emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger.
 
 
The fearful have no faith
Mark 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
 
Fear is a characteristic of the wicked
Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.
 
Living in fear is living in sin
Genesis 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Nehemiah 6:13 For this reason he was hired, that I should be afraid and act that way and sin, so that they might have cause for an evil report, that they might reproach me.
 
Jesus had no fear
Isaiah 50:7-10 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. 8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. 9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up. 10 Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
 
He trusted the Father
Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.' " Having said this, He breathed His last.
 
In all your ways acknowledge the Lord
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
 
A sound mind
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
 
God is with His people and He will not forsake us
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
 
Be strong and of good courage
Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
 
When we trust the Lord then we are not afraid
Psalm 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
Psalm 56:3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
 
God is with us to fight our battles
2 Chronicles 32:7-8 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: 8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
 
When the Lord is with us we have nothing to be afraid of
Deuteronomy 20:3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; 4 For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
 
There will be fearful sights coming soon
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
 
Men’s hearts will fail them
Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
 
The elect have nothing to fear
Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
 
Be strong, fear not…vengeance and recompence will come
Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
 
The kingdom is given to us
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
 
The consequences if we do not resolve our fears
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
 
The Lord can deliver you of all your fears
Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
 
Fear nothing except God
Philippians 4:6 Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
 
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
